Mr. Perfect and Miss Almost Chapter 1

In May, before the sultry rainy season, is the most pleasant time of the year in S. The soft sunlight falls through the cascading leaves of the dense French sycamore trees.

Yunshu stepped on her skateboard and reluctantly hurried towards the Wuwei Tea Room.

She lifted her arm and looked at the time. There were scattered pedestrians on the sidewalk, so it was difficult to increase the speed. With her back foot on the tail of the board and her front foot on the edge of the flower bed at the edge of the pavement, Yunshu performed the basic OLLIE of skateboarding.

The edge of the flower bed is not as wide as the body of a skateboard, just wide enough for two wheels to glide across. The edge is paved with small pieces of broken tiles, and the hard wheels of the skateboard glide over them making a "swish" sound. The little boy holding the parent's hand on the sidewalk looked at her and exclaimed.

Yunshu winked at the little boy as she tucked her baseball cap back on her head. She had been skateboarding the streets for years and had circled the area many times.

The boy's mother followed his gaze and saw Yunshu's pink curly hair and her rebellious dress in the eyes of ordinary people, and pulled the boy away with one hand: "What are you looking at? You don't learn all day long."

After skating for a while, she saw the large tree passing through the large terrace on the first floor of the Wuwei teahouse. She slowed down and jumped off the edge of the flower bed with the last bit of inertia, and skated to the door with a little impetus, her back foot on the end of her skateboard, and her right hand picking up the raised skateboard and storing it in her hand

"Welcome." When she pushed through the door, she heard Lu Zhiyi's lazy greeting.

"Is anyone here for the table I reserved?"

"Here." Lu Zhiyi looked up from the sun-drenched bar, her long curly hair spreading over the table, and glanced at the clock on the wall, "He arrived ten minutes ago and ordered a Tieguanyin."

Yun Shu's voice was faint: "Then I will go up first."

"Xiao Wei." Lu Zhiyi called to the girl standing at the cashier's desk, "Give Xiao Yunduo the usual order."

"Yeah." Yun Shu nodded at her.

"What, are you in a bad mood today?"

Yun Shu pointed upstairs with a helpless hand, "I was forced to come here for a blind date, so it's strange if I can feel better."

She walked up the stairs to the upper terrace.

The two-story concrete walled facade of the small building is irregularly shaped into a triangular shape, in a light industrial style. The large terrace on the first floor protrudes from the building, with a large circle hollowed out in the middle. A dense, century-old balsam fir tree passes through the terrace.

The teahouse is close to the University of F and the University of C. Students are the main consumers in this area. However, the prices are not friendly at all. The tea is very good, but the price is so high that it is shocking. Lu Zhiyi has even put the price directly outside the door, for no other reason than to drive customers away.

Yun Shu has always been able to eat, drink and sleep, and is regarded as the little pistachio of Lu Zhiyi and others.

As for the reason why she was upset today, the time also goes back to last night when Yunshu fell down on the blanket laughing while watching the latest episode of The Night Talk Show with her beloved pet "Peanut Candy" in her arms. As she was convulsing with laughter, she received a phone call from her sister, who is in direct control of her finances, asking her to come on a blind date in exchange for doubling her living expenses in the future.

Does she look like someone who would bend over for a bucket of rice? The answer is obvious.

Five buckets of rice are not worth bending over, but doubling the cost of living, not to mention bending over, can make her bend over 180 degrees!

As for the reason for the match, it goes back even further, to before the founding of the country.

Her grandfather's grandfather and a close friend named Zhang were very close friends at the time, and when their wives became pregnant, they agree to marry their child. But in the end, the children were not gender-matched and were both sons. The two families had always been good friends and the marriage contract continued into the grandchildren's generation, probably because neither family had much of a gene for having daughters. The marriage contract was put on hold until the two families had a son and a daughter to match.

There was another reason for the marriage to be put on hold. From their grandfather's generation onwards, the Yun family left S City for B City, and the two families gradually stopped seeing each other.

It was not until this year that the Zhang family's grandfather, with whom they had agreed to marry a long time ago, remembered the marriage because of what seemed to Yun Shu to be a terrible reason - a dream from his father. When he thought of the marriage, he contacted the Yun family and found out that there were two daughters among the grandchildren of his childhood playmates.

The two old men were superstitious and insisted that if they did not complete the marriage contract, they would not be able to rest in peace in the future. In addition, the grandfather's health is deteriorating and he looks as if he is covering his chest when he mentions the matter. Even though the younger generation thinks that marriage is just an unreasonable act by the two old children, they have to agree to it for the time being.

The Zhang family has only one child, while the Yun family has two daughters. In terms of age and status, it is obvious that Yun Shu's sister, Yun Lan, is a better match.

The Yun family is a business family of sorts and has reached unprecedented proportions in Yun Lan's hands. Yun Lan is a shrewd and calm person who, in her opinion, is only fooling the two elders. She is so busy that she is almost a flying man. From the point of view of opportunity, it was obvious that Yunshu, who had nothing to do and happened to be studying in S, would be more suitable

Naturally, Yunshu was reluctant. However, her sister has been a powerful woman since she was a child. Since her parents died, her grandfather has not been in charge of her affairs, so her financial life is in the hands of Yun Lan. She is forced by circumstances to bow down.

Yunshu says in her mind, "Feudal. Feudal. Thinking. I don't want to" as she walks up the stairs to the terrace.

When the weather is not too hot or too cold, she would often read at a small wooden table converted from a large cable tray under a balsam fir tree on the first floor, which has become her exclusive seat as there are very few people in Wuwei all year round.

Yun Shu saw the man's back from afar. With his white shirt and suit trousers, He was sitting there with his shoulders stretched out. Even though there was no one else around, he was still sitting there with a straight face, out of place in the rugged industrial atmosphere of the teahouse. Looking at the back, Yun Shu felt that her sister should come and have a blind date.  The auras of the two business elites are exactly the same.

Yunshu took the baseball cap off her head and hung it on the waistband of her satchel, smoothing her fingers over the pink curls that had slid all the way to the east and west in an attempt to make herself more formal.

But it was clearly a useless exercise. She is naturally curly and even in a formal professional suit, she is no more formal than she is, giving the impression that her clothes do not fit her aura.

"Sorry for the wait." Yunshu leaned her skateboard against the chair and sat down.

Yun Shu and the man sitting on the opposite side of the table met eye to eye, and her feet, which were not yet seated, went limp: "Professor Zhang ...... Zhang?"

Zhang Sinian frowned: "Are you a student of C University?"

"I ...... took your econometrics course when I was a double degree student." Yunshu's voice trembled a little.

It can be said that no one at the University of C is unaware of Zhang Sinian. The reason for this is not only his handsome appearance but also his reputation. The University of C is the most prestigious and professional financial institution in China. Since he joined the university, Zhang Sinian has set records for the youngest lecturer and the youngest associate professor in the university.  As a finance and economics school, C University is particularly detailed. The economics and management majors can be divided into at most one economic school and one management school in comprehensive colleges.  C major is subdivided into nearly ten colleges, including the School of Finance, School of Economics, Business School, and School of Public Administration.

The School of Finance is famous for being a gathering place for old freaks, with professors who are famous in the domestic finance industry and have exceptionally high requirements. The School of Finance is one of the most prestigious schools in the University, and its students have a promising future after graduation, but during their studies, they are arguably the most miserable group of people in the University. They have the most assignments, the highest failure rate, and the lowest average grade point in the university.

In the first year of his career, Zhang Sinian surpassed the many veteran "bad guys" of the School of Finance. After three years of employment, In his three years of service, his failure rate of students has always been the highest in the School of Finance of the University of C. There are countless unhappy candidates under one marking pen. There is a tradition among University of C students to change the headshot of the teacher teaching the corresponding subject before the examination for blessing. During exam week, more than half of Yunshu's circle of friends had Zhang Sinian's picture as their avatar.

Later on, Zhang Sinian left the University of C and set up his own company. He is not at the University of C, but the legend of him has always been spread in the University. One of his students posted a post describing her internship at his company, describing him as a male version of the devil-wearing Prada, and detailing his strict requirements in life and work. The post is often answered by students who have interned at his company, and it floats around the campus BBS homepage all year round.

Yunshu, who has never been afraid of anything, now looks like a frightened rabbit to Zhang Sinian - she was also one of the unjust souls under Professor Zhang's pen.

She had failed the exams and failed to complete the credits. According to the training program, she should have defended her paper this year and received her graduation certificate, but now she could only retake the course this year and defense her thesis for a year, at the same time as her major.

"I've already left the University of C, so you don't have to be formal."

Yunshu squeezed out an awkward smile. Her fingers flew under the table to send a message to Yun Lan.

【Yun Shu: Sister !!!! I don't need twice the living expenses !!!!! I can't hold this blind date... !!!!!!!】

【Yun Lan: In a commercial contract, you have to pay a penalty for breach of contract.】

【Yunshu: Sister! You can't just stand by and not save me !!!! The grandson of the Zhang family is the strict professor of economics that I told you about before. As soon as I saw him, my soul was at odds. With him, I guess I can't even sleep well!!】

【 Yun Shu: How much is the penalty? Sister, please tell me QAQ】

Yunshu waited for a minute but didn't receive a reply.

Then Zhang Sinian's mobile phone suddenly rang across the table. Yun Shu followed the sound and saw Yun Lan's name on the screen of the phone.

"Sorry, I'll take your sister's call first."

Yun Shu listened to Zhang's "um", "okay" and "I'll talk to her for you" from across the table, and felt like a cat's paws scratching in her heart. She couldn't guess what the two were talking about with all these unspoken words.

The phone was put down, "You failed in econometrics?" Zhang Sinian took a sip of tea, " I remember that my requirements for a double degree have been set very low."

Even though he was no longer a teacher or student, Yun Shu still didn't dare to look at Zhang Sinian directly, lowering his head, she said, "I'm not very good at data analysis."

"What was the topic of the paper you finally handed in?"

"A study on the interaction between RMB exchange rate and stock prices."

Zhang Sinian understood it instantly and chuckled, "So you wrote that paper."

He had been teaching for three years and had read 800, if not 1,000, student papers, and only a very few outstanding papers were still somewhat impressive. Yunshu's paper, which had nothing new to say from its name, he remembered very clearly. It was the first time in his life that he had ever seen such a shit and unreasonable paper.

Yunshu had written more than a dozen pages of data analysis, and it could be said that apart from the use of ten numbers from 1 to 0, as in quantitative economics, she had not even touched the edge of the word "quantitative". The so-called "influence and interaction" part of the data analysis, Zhang Sinian thought at that time, was all her imagination, using her "two eyes" to observe the data, and even if she were a teacher, she would not be allowed to pass.

        Yun Shu's face felt hot.

"Your sister is very concerned about you. She was worried that you wouldn't get your diploma, so she gave up 2% of the future profits from two joint projects and asked me to help you with your lessons while we were together. I thought it was a good deal in terms of investment returns, so I agreed to it."

Yun Shu lowered her head, and the message from Yun Lan was displayed on the phone screen.

The message was from Yun Lan. 【Yun Lan: Don't forget, when you get your diploma in finance, the dividends that are in my possession will be officially given to you."】

Yun Shu covered her head and wailed softly.

Examinations, inviting parents and the face of the class teacher behind the window have always been the three things that everyone, including Yun Shu, fears most during their student career. These three nightmares have gradually left her since she started university, but what happened today can be said to be even more frightening than all three of them happening at the same time.

——She could not understand, let alone understand, the paper she had written, the one-on-one counseling she had received from her strict professor at the School of Finance, and the threat from her sister, who held her financial life in her hands.

Suddenly, Yun Shu felt that her bright and shining life was becoming hopeless.
