Transmigrated into the sickly beautiful younger sister of the Villain Chapter 1

  CHAPTER 1

Lu Nian remembers that she should have died. She was hit by a car while crossing the road to buy new textbooks, and she didn't survive despite rescue efforts.

When she opened her eyes again, what she saw, however, was the cold winter sunlight shining on the iron gray cement floor, a bleak white.

She looked down at her feet, which were extremely thin and delicate, wrapped in exquisite deer leather boots. She remembered that her legs were not that thin at all. As she looked at her hands, she saw a pair of very young and tender little hands, with translucent skin in the sunlight.

"Ring, ring, ring." Without giving it much thought, a bell suddenly rang in Lu Nian's ear. It was the most common school bell that almost everyone had heard before. Lu Nian looked into the distance and saw a white teaching building under the sunshine. It seemed to be in a school, but the teaching building was far away from her. The place she was in right now didn't seem to be the teaching area.

Lu Nian tried to support herself against the wall and moved. Her body was really weak, and she felt heavier than before when walking.

After walking a few steps, Lu Nian heard a noise coming from not far away. She turned a corner and saw where the noise was coming from.

It is a group of not very big, semi-grown teenage boys around 14 years old who are not wearing school uniforms. Their heights vary, and one chubby boy is facing away from her. He seems to be the same length horizontally and vertically, and his whole body is plump and round.

Lu Nian feels like she wants to go and ask them about the situation.

The little fat kid didn't notice her and was speaking to someone with a very nasty tone.

Lu Nian only just noticed that in the midst of the group of people, there was still someone surrounded by them. It was a boy who looked only eleven or twelve years old, much younger than all of them. His face and hands were bleeding.

In the dead of winter, he was only wearing a thin, worn-out, dark-colored sweatshirt with pilling. His ears and exposed wrists were frozen red. His white school uniform was lying aside, covered in dust and footprints.

Three big boys held down his hands and feet, pressing him to the ground, making him completely unable to move.

This is campus bullying, isn't it? Using strength to bully the weak, and even outnumbering them in a fight.

Lu Nian is still dizzy and hasn't fully grasped the situation yet, but seeing this kind of situation naturally makes her feel uncomfortable.

"Qin Si, I've hated you for a long time." The chubby boy covered his still-bleeding eye and spoke angrily, "What were you trying to prove in school? You're still trying to act tough now? Let me see you act tough," he viciously kicked the boy from his back to his hand.

He is a poor kid without parents, who doesn't back down easily and is fierce in fights. Even several people cannot hold him down. Fortunately, he is still young and has not fully grown up yet. If he gets older, they probably won't be able to control him anymore.

"You guys hold him down for me," the chubby kid spat on the ground and said fiercely, "Damn it, let's see if I can't beat you up today."

    Qin Si?

Lu Nian was startled, and suddenly thought of something. She had a strong impression of this name. It was the name of the main villain in a novel she had read before going to bed yesterday.

Could it be that she died first, and then her spirit borrowed a body to reincarnate into the world of a book? Or is it just a coincidence that they share the same name?

However, the contrast between the ferocious and ruthless main villain in the book and this pale and weak little boy is too great, isn't it?

The boy's small, pale face is covered in blue and purple bruises and cuts, and he is bleeding. It looks very tragic. The only thing that stands out on his face is his messy hair and big, black eyes, which are shining like cold stars.

He remained silent, allowing those fists to fall on him, making a dull sound, as if he didn't feel any pain, letting them hit and curse him, showing no signs of weakness.

Lu Nian couldn't bear to watch anymore and walked out from behind the corner with weak steps.

The first person who saw her was Qin Si. He lifted his eyes and stared at her with a gloomy and icy gaze as she turned the corner. The look in his eyes was as cold as ice, penetrating to the bone.

Lu Nian was startled by his gaze and involuntarily stopped in her tracks.

Does he know her? Why is he looking at her like that? It's even more fierce than looking at those people who beat him up. However, since she has already walked out, Lu Nian can only bite the bullet and pretend not to see Qin Si's gaze, and walk forward.

硬着头皮 (bite the bullet) is a Chinese idiom that means to endure hardship and do something difficult.

"What are you all doing?" She spoke and realized that her throat seemed a bit hoarse, and her voice was delicate like a little girl's, soft and tender. "Don't hit him anymore."

Upon hearing the voice, the group of people temporarily stopped their actions. It seemed that they hadn't noticed anyone behind the corner of the rooftop before, and they were momentarily stunned.

"Nian Nian?" The group of people stopped what they were doing, and a boy stared at her, hesitantly calling out, "What are you doing here?"

He is the only one in this group of people who looks less messy, dressed quite neatly, with a young and handsome face.

When the other tall person heard this name, he hesitated for a moment and pointed at Qin Si on the ground, asking, "Lu Nian? His sister?"

"Does he deserve it?" Lu Yang sneered and looked at Qin Si in the middle with disgust. "He was never officially adopted by my uncle, he's just a bastard."

On the other side,Lu Nian was also stunned.

Lu Nian? Is that the name of this body now?

After careful recollection, Lu Nian found the name in that book. The female protagonist in the book did not have this name. Instead, it belonged to a cannon fodder supporting character with very little screen time. This character only appeared as a background prop in the backstory of the villain Qin Si. Qin Si grew up in an orphanage and was adopted by the Lu family halfway through his childhood.

The reason why Lu Nian remembers this person named Lu Nian is only because they share the same name, and their surnames happen to sound alike.

However, did the original Lu Nian have any grudges with him?

She feel like Qin Si wasn't as ruthless towards those who bullied him.

Lu Yang and the tall guy let go of their grip, while the other person hadn't reacted yet. Qin Si had already gotten up from the ground and fiercely bit the chubby kid's arm. The chubby kid let out a scream and swung his fist to hit Qin Si again. Lu Yang, relying on his height, together with the tall guy, pressed Qin Si down again from left and right.

"You guys, don't..." Lu Nian's mind went blank. She didn't think of anything and tried to go up and pull Lu Yang away. However, she didn't expect her body to be so weak. When the chubby boy's arm blocked her, she was directly bounced back and stumbled back many steps.

This building is probably four or five meters above the ground. It is the rooftop of the school, which seems to be a very faraway place from the academic area. It has been abandoned for a long time and is very desolate. The rooftop is open without any protective measures around it.

How dangerous! Do these children have any safety awareness? Why did they come here to play instead of going somewhere else?

She has had a fear of heights since childhood. Although two stories is not particularly high, standing on the edge of a place like this causes her legs to suddenly become weak with fear, and she can no longer control the tendency to fall backwards.

The chubby kid turned his head and only then realized that something was wrong. "Someone is going to jump off the building!"

Damn it, she doesn't want to jump, but the problem is that her toes have already left the ground.

"She, she jumped off the building!"The chubby boy was stunned and didn't have time to care about Qin Si. He screamed heart-wrenchingly.

Lu Yang was also panicked, "Nian Nian!"

The wind blew past my ear with a whooshing sound.

In the last second before losing consciousness, Lu Nian thought she was definitely the unluckiest transmigrator in history, as she had jumped off a building immediately upon arrival.

Transmigrator: 穿书的 (literally means "someone who travels through books," referring to a character who is transported from one world or time to another, usually in a novel or story)

This is much more scary than the bungee jumping she did in the amusement park before.

She's really amazing for dying twice in a row.

When Lu Nian opened her eyes again, what she saw was the hospital's snow-white ceiling, so white that it was blinding.

This time it seems that nobody really died.

She tried to move her limbs and it seemed that they were all still there, but whenever she moved her right hand, a piercing pain shot through it."

"Nian Nian." She heard someone call her name next to her. Lu Nian struggled to turn her head and saw a middle-aged man with a serious face wearing gold-rimmed glasses.

The woman next to her holding a thermos looked pleasantly surprised and asked, "Is Nian Nian awake? How do you feel now?"

Lu Nian wanted to speak, but found that her throat was extremely hoarse. She could only nod slightly to indicate that she was okay. She checked her body and felt that no parts were missing and there were no particularly painful areas. She suddenly felt that she was very lucky to be alive.

She seems to be staying in a separate VIP ward now. Shortly after, the doctor came in and examined her body. With utmost respect, the doctor said to Mr. Lu Zhihong, "Mr. Lu, except for a minor fracture in her right hand, there is nothing major wrong with your child's body. However, her physical condition is poor, and I suggest she stay in the hospital for a few more days to recuperate properly."

"This child is also blessed with good fortune. Despite falling from such a height, she only sustained minor injuries."

Lu Zhihong nodded at him. The doctor pushed the door open and Lu Zhihong said to the woman beside him, "Let them come in."

The door opened again and in came those familiar faces, the chubby one, the tall one...Luyang, and finally, the most familiar face of all."

    Qin Si.

It seemed that no one had helped him treat his wounds. When Lu Nian saw his face, the wound on his left cheek had scabbed over, and it seemed to have been roughly washed by himself. It's unclear whether it has become inflamed... The bruising on his face has not yet subsided, and he looks very pitiful.

"Can you guys tell me what's going on?" Lu Zhihong took off his glasses and rubbed his forehead. "Speak up."

Several teenagers stood together, no longer with that arrogant demeanor. The chubby one mumbled a few times, but still didn't say anything.

Until Luyang turned pale and said to Lu Zhihong, "It was him who pushed Nian Nian down."

He was referring to Qin Si.

There is complete silence in the ward.

Luyang knew that his distant cousin, Lu Nian, had always disliked Qin Si. If she had a chance to get back at him, she might send him back to the orphanage or even get him sent to a juvenile detention center. Luyang did not believe that Lu Nian would not cooperate with her in this matter.

Qin Si had a cold expression on his face, and he hadn't said a word since he entered the hospital room.

"Yes, yes, it's him, we all saw it," said the chubby boy.

"Yes, we didn't have enough time to intercept."

After Qin Si arrived at the Lu family, he always had a gloomy and unsociable temper. As a little boy, he was distant from everyone and difficult to understand. He also often had a fierce look in his eyes that made people feel uneasy. Without saying a word, Lu Zhihong's eyes had already believed it to some extent.

Lu Zhihong said, "Qin Si, if you keep going like this, we'll have to contact the orphanage and consider sending you back."

A deep furrow appeared between the eyebrows of the middle-aged man.

Back when Qin Si was brought over from the orphanage, the initial purpose was for the sake of Lu Nian. However, these past two years have gone by and Lu Nian shows no interest in him at all, and even has some resistance towards him."

Lu's family can afford to raise such a young child, but they don't raise idlers. If he continues to be useless and has a negative impact on Lu Nian, they can naturally send him back.

    Send back...

If sent back, there is a high possibility that one will not have the chance to study again.

Even worse, he have to continue to live through days of going hungry and then eating their fill again.

The boy remained silent, hanging his head. His long, disheveled hair covered his eyes, making it difficult to discern his expression. However, his lips were tightly pressed together, almost devoid of color.

He didn't even try to explain a single word.

No one believes what he says.

Since birth, he has been accustomed to this treatment, and has become somewhat numb to it.

He recalled the spiderwebs on the walls of the orphanage, the cracked wall paint. It was very cold in the winter, and he would curl up in bed, wrapped in the thin blanket, watching the endless snow and wind outside.

"It's not him," came a hoarse voice from behind.

Lu Nian struggled to sit up from the bed. Her young face still looked pale and childish. She repeated, "It wasn't him, it wasn't Qin Si who pushed me." This time, her voice was slightly louder and very clear.

Qin Si looked up and, for the first time, glanced at her. The room suddenly fell completely silent.
